How Release Matching Works
“Release matching” means verifying that a release actually corresponds to the target episode or film—audio sync, quality tier, cut version, etc. Most magnet sites only list links; we add verifiable incremental signals.
Scoring dimensions
- Group reputation — tiers L0~L4 based on historical encode quality
- Multi-source coverage (S-03) — how many queried source families returned at least one release for the slot
- Cross-source verification (S-04) — when the same infohash or aligned release fingerprint appears on multiple families (rare on public indexers; shown per row in Sources)
- Swarm health & speed tests — seeders plus connectivity / partial download summaries
- Encode metadata — source, codec, and audio inferred from release names

- Hero N/M answers: “How many sources had any match?” — not “all sources agree on the same file.”
- Sources Verify column shows S-04 only when
cross_source_count > 1on that row.
Recommended Release
For each slot (e.g. Breaking Bad S04E06), the engine scores all candidates and marks the top pick as recommended, with an embedded recommend_reason on the page.
When we publish a page
We only ask search engines to discover pages that have enough verified releases to be useful:
- No verified releases yet — we do not publish a page
- Only one verified release — the page may be available to visitors, but we ask search engines not to list it yet
- Two or more verified releases, with a Recommended pick and comparison notes — the page may appear in search
